The price is wrong Be careful of the prices Pinterest shows you. We fed in US$1,200, and when we returned to the main page, it shows that the House of Sillage’s limited-edition Tiara fragrance costs $1.

On Twitter I don’t know how we’re managing it, but according to Twitter, we are following ourselves—twice.

Server migration today

We are having a server migration today, which means that you won’t be able to access our sites (lucire.com, lucire.co.uk, etc.) for a few hours. The migration is expected to be completed by Sunday 8 a.m. CDT. We apologize for any inconvenience.

A rare occasion when we rejected good comments

These are two good reader comments that we never published. Why? Because they came from two different names, each with a Christian name and a surname—but they were unspaced. They had the same email and IP. All these tactics look spammy.

We get a lot of spam queued on our system, and even though, in these cases, the comments were not replicated all over the ’net, we chose to be safe rather than sorry. Our apologies to this reader if she is the real deal.

We actually cleared the earlier message and it appeared on our site for a day. But when the second one came with a different name, we went on alert. Had the writer used the same name on both occasions, the second one would have actually gone through automatically without a manual check.

One name is or both names are phony—and while we don’t mind pseudonyms, consistency would have helped this commenter.

H&M by Kling We begin 2011 with the first blogger-collaboration fashion range by a major fashion retailer. Elin Kling and H&M are releasing a Sweden-only line, which will get huge publicity on Kling’s blog, no doubt.

Haven’t seen them before I know it’s just a coincidence, but these people, who list Lucire as an employer, had me wondering: ‘Who are you?!’ Happy 2011 to all readers!—Jack Yan

The bigger the story, the more likely Google News will muck up the headline We love Google News and think it’s one of the company’s best products. It’s just annoying that, often, it will muck up the headlines of our biggest stories of the week. The minor ones all come through accurately.

Two per day Though there were a few more, this is the first time Google News has picked up 60 articles from Lucire over the course of a month. Major thanks to Sopheak Seng and Morgan Davison for all their hard work.

Trying to figure out what’s wrong We have no idea why there are problems with all JY&A websites (including Lucire) when accessed via Telstra Clear in New Zealand. Looking in to it … Currently we’re having to use a US proxy server to browse our own content—not the ideal situation.
